Although I have not been “drafted” – yet, Dribbble is a great resource for designers.  Featuring some fantastic designers in world of type, web, print and beyond. It makes a what can seem like a big scary industry into something that feels more local than global. What really surprised me about this site, which gives a place for designers to share “shots” of works in progress, is the positive feedback and criticism I have seen so far from the community. There are the brief, “Very cool” or “Hell yes”, but most of the time you get a response that constructive and supportive.

The positive nature of the forum can probably be attributed to the selective process of the Dribbble administrators, that encourages prospects to follow users that contribute real projects and ideas to the forum and not pictures of their house cats. So, I am looking forward to being drafted one day, never thought I would be saying that, sports are not really my thing.
